| Day | Activity | Location | Angkor Wat – world renowned Buddhist architecture – quiet roads – Khmer people – jungles – coastal riding – beaches – Colonial town of Kampot – lakeside villages – a visit to the Killing Fields – drinks by the Mekong river – fishing villages – picnic lunches This trip is an all encompassing journey through a land only recently freed from the ravages of a decades long civil war. From the majestic buildings of a long gone empire to the endless 'hellos' that will cry out to you as you pedal your way across the verdant green countryside Cambodia is a place that will never leave your memory. On this trip we cycle 485 mostly flat kilometres through rice paddies and villages, along side mountains and beaches, riding on highways and quiet dirt roads. We visit small regional towns, Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh and explore the ruins of the ancient Angkor kingdom. |

Testimonials
"My first experience of Asia couldn't have been better. I definitely feel cycling was the best way to experience a country." – Anon, July 2007 "Nice to get off the beaten track and see some parts of the country that many don't see." – Anon, Sept 2007 "I'm all for as much door to door cycling as possible, so this was pretty good! Highlights were cycling the back roads - especially the road through the rice paddies coming in to Takeo. Oh... the Angkor temples were pretty good too!" – Jane, Sept 2007 |
